Shipley shoots 29 on front 9, comes from 7 down to win

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Neal Shipley trailed by seven shots entering the final round of the Korn Ferry Tour stop in Colorado Sunday. The Mt. Lebanon native started his front nine with three straight birdies, after a par, he went back at it with a birdie and an eagle. Shipley shot a 29 on the front nine and 64 for the day to win by a shot at 18 under.

Let’s throw this in, Shipley had a 7 on the card Sunday and still shot 64. The former James Madison and Ohio State player averaged 350 yards per drive and had a drive of 410 yards. He also led the Ascendant presented by Blue with 1.6 putts per greens in regulation.

It’s his second win on the Korn Ferry Tour this year which is the top developmental organization of the PGA Tour.
