After the extra fireworks of a waiver wire controversy, the Audacy Pittsburgh Fantasy Football League saw its hottest team go down in flames this week while the middle of the league continues to be tight. Eight of the 12 teams in the league are 6-4, 5-5, or 4-6 on the year. Let’s check out the action from Week 10…

HIGHLIGHTS

Streak Ends With a Major Dud: The PM Team…Team had won 5 games in a row heading into this week against a 2-loss Kosher Nostra team. Simply put, they had a disastrous week.

In what might been the lowest point total of the season league-wide, The PM Team…Team only mustered 56.70 points in a 29-point blowout loss. Dealing with multiple injuries, they were forced to start AJ Green and Adrian Peterson. Neither of them scored more than 2.50 points. Alvin Kamara, Antonio Brown and Calvin Ridley were all among the wounded who couldn’t play.

Add in the fact that AJ Brown only scored 2.80 points and Mike Gesicki had a fat goose egg and there’s your incredibly low score. This is still a dangerous team when healthy though, and they still in 4th in the overall standings.

Streak Is Alive & Well: Meanwhile, The Fan Morning Squad found a way to keep things rolling.
Kyler Murray and newly acquired DeAndre Hopkins were both out. The Mean Machine had them on the ropes heading into Monday night.

The morning show was down by 20 points with San Francisco’s Eli Mitchell and Deebo Samuel left, while the Mean Machine had LA’s tight end Tyler Higbee. The unsung hero Deebo Samuel came through for them again, scoring two touchdowns and 27.80 points to lead the way for an eight-point victory.

The Fan Morning Squad is 8-2 on the year, holding the tiebreaker over Kosher Nostra (8-2) for the top spot in the standings.

In The Hunt: That’s where Bishop Sycamore, made up of 2/3’s of The Cook & Joe Show (minus Ron Cook), is after a 119.14-83.48 easy victory over CBDD (Cale Berger, Dorin Dickerson).

It helps when Patrick Mahomes plays like Patrick Mahomes is supposed to play. He scored 36.24 points in the Chiefs domination over the Raiders. Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb also had a big day, scoring 25.60 points.

Both teams are now 5-5 on the year, with Bishop Sycamore sitting in 5th place while CBDD is in 6th.

Sunday Grinded Again: The Sunday Grinders of Josh Taylor, Shelby Cassesse and Greg Finley have hit some hard times. It was another loss for them in Week 10, this time a heartbreaker, 93.52-90.32. It was their third consecutive loss, and the Derrick Henry season-ending injury has had catastrophic results so far.

Their record stands at 3-7 on the year, tied for the worst mark in the league.

Zeise Breaks Losing Streak: The team they share that league basement with is Zeise Is King.
Zeise was on a huge slide heading into Week 10 but enjoyed a giant victory, 109.22-69.62.

KC’s Darrel Williams, Washington’s Antonio Gibson each had over 20 points, while New England QB Mac Jones had 19.92. Remarkably, 3-7 still doesn’t mean they are out of it. The playoffs begin in Week 15 so there’s still four games left to try to salvage a non-losing season and be one of the 6 teams that makes it into the postseason.
