Mayfield reportedly wanted to continue with insurance company with his journey down to North Carolina. He pitched a commercial for the series At home with Baker Mayfield that the company didn’t bite on and ultimately decided to no longer pursue commercials with Baker.

The commercial was to be about Baker’s move from First Energy Stadium with a moving truck at Bank of America Stadium. He stated in his first post-trade press conference that it was a “missed opportunity” on Progressive’s part.

Kudos to Mayfield for putting on his thinking cap for that one, but alas, he is now a free agent commercial market. We may be in for an intense bidding war between State Farm and All State, so keep those lines open Baker!
