The Fan family is growing by one.

PM Team co-host Andrew Fillipponi announced on Tuesday that his wife Amanda is pregnant with their first child.

Poni got emotional during the announcement on-air alongside co-host and friend Chris Mueller because it has been a three-year journey for Andrew and his wife.

The couple went through “constant fertility doctor visits.
The monthly hope and then massive disappointment of negative tests,” Poni said on Twitter.

A fertility doctor once told them there was a less than 10 percent change of the couple being able to get pregnant.

Poni adds they had all but given up and right when they it, “it happened.”

“It wasn’t that easy because my sperm sucked and her eggs weren’t great,” Poni joked.

Amanda is almost three months pregnant and just got word from the doctor they could share the news with the world.

They also say its good luck when a bird poops on you and Poni was able to track the conception date to the night a bird let one go on him downtown.

“I was always hoping for you guys that I would hear this news from you,” an excited Mueller said.

“Musley as a middle name is still on the table,” said Poni and added the first name is off the table.

Poni added that he feels for other couples that have to go through the "life changing" experience of struggling to conceive and adds he plans to be an advocate for those still struggling.

Others were also thrilled to hear the news.
