A couple weeks ago, 93.7 The Fan producer “Intern Dom” took a shot at Pittsburgh sports icon, Bob Pompeani, who just also happens to host a show with Joe Starkey on our station.
Joe was talking about how some people believe that Jack Nicklaus is better than Tiger Woods at golf, something Pomp believes.
“Well, whoever says that is a moron,” said intern Dom on the Pomp & Joe Show. Dom doubled down and said “Then, I guess Bob doesn’t know what he’s talking about then if that’s what he’s saying.
To be fair to Dom, he wasn’t talking directly about Pomp, but he didn’t help his case.
On Wednesday, Joe talked about another shot from Mr. DiTommaso toward our treasured Pomp.
“For Pomp to say he’d rather have Justin Fields (over Aaron Rodgers), that’s a low point in Pomp’s career,” said Dom. “I hate to say it. That’s rock bottom for Pomp.”
Producer Austin “City Limits” thinks Dom is now going too far. “He doubles down,” said Limits.
Pomp responded to Dom on Wednesday saying he needs to correct him.
“What I said was, if it’s up to me, in their search for a franchise quarterback, their best option is going for a young guy who’s 25 and has potential upside,” Pomp clarified. “I would rather, for one year, knowing if he can that franchise quarterback, knowing that (the Steelers) haven’t had one for four years now.”
Do you think Intern Dom is getting too big for his britches?
