PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) With their 128th and 140th picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have taken a pair of players out of Texas A&M.
Both taken in the fourth round, at pick 128, the Steelers chose offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr.
At 6-foot-5 and 311lbs, Moore Jr. became the fourth straight player taken by Pittsburgh on the offensive side of the ball.
This marks the first time the Steelers have taken that many offensive players to start a draft since 1984.
According to nfl.com’s draft tracker, through his time at Texas A&M, Moore improved in every asset and has no physical weaknesses.
Despite the positives, he may struggle to be more than a solid backup.
With pick No. 140, the Steelers finally make an addition to their defense by taking Texas A&M linebacker Buddy Johnson.
Johnson stands at 6-feet-0-inches and weighs in at 229 lbs.
According to nfl.com, Johnson has room to improve in all facets of the game, and can contribute as a two-down inside backer with special teams value.
