Shohei Ohtani continues to leave everyone mesmerized, including others players from around the league.

On Wednesday, the morning after the Angels DH hit his league-leading 14th home run, New York Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman had the perfect description to sum up how everyone feels about the Angels’ two-way star.

“Ohtani is a mythical legend in human form,” he said. “What he’s doing is beyond incredible. Everyone in the big leagues is in awe of his talent. After games, I be running to my phone to check and see what Ohtani did on the night!”

For the first time since entering the league in 2018, Ohtani appears to be fully healthy and is playing up to his potential both at the plate and on the pitcher’s mound.

In addition to his MLB-leading 14 home runs, the 26-year-old slugger has 33 RBI, 10 doubles, 32 runs scored and a slash line of .271/.323/.632.

But Ohtani is also dominating on the mound, too, which he has struggled in the past. The right-hander has a 2.10 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 25.2 innings pitched over five starts this season.

These are things that have not been done in Major League Baseball in over 100 years, not since Babe Ruth dominated the league at the plate and on the mound.

So, it is no wonder guys like Stroman and baseball fans everywhere have caught Ohtani-fever as every at-bat and start he makes is must-watch entertainment.
