Would losing to the Browns be worse than the Tebow game? Worse than the Jacksonville disaster in '17? It might just be.

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - “I can’t even imagine this town on Monday if they lose this game.”

That’s what Colin Dunlap said on The Fan Morning Show Tuesday when he, Chris Mack and Jim Colony were discussing what the fallout would be if the Cleveland Browns pulled off the upset win over the Steelers on Sunday night in an AFC Wild Card matchup.

They didn’t stop there.

“This loss would sting for decades. This would be worse than the Jacksonville loss at home. This would be gigantic. You know why? You can never run from it. You see this team two times a year,” said Dunlap.

Chris Mack directed the conversation toward Ben Roethlisberger, who has been a king over the Browns in his career, boasting a 24-2-1 career record.

“The only way I see this happening, the only way the Steelers lose this thing is if they get sloppy with the football. It wouldn’t stop the cry from those, if he were to have a terrible game, to look at him and say, ‘Yep, he’s done. He’s finally washed. It’s time to move on.’

If they lose this game to Cleveland and it’s about Ben (and his performance), we’re seeing the end of an era. You can close the book if they lose to the Browns. To simplify it for Ben Roethlisberger this weekend, you either continue to beat the Browns like you always have…or perhaps it’s the final chapter. Perhaps it’s the last page and we’re writing the post-script right now as we speak.

Ben Roethlisberger losing to the Browns at home just doesn’t happen.”

Arguably the worst playoff loss under Mike Tomlin and maybe the end of an era with a loss.

No pressure, Steelers.
