Jason Terrance Phillips better known by his stage name Jadakiss was born in Yonkers, New York, and got his start in the game at a very young age as he used to freestyle on street corners for money when he was 12.

He takes us back to being young and in his uncle's room and remembers listening to Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's "The Message," it was at that moment he knew he "needed to be a part of Hip-Hop."

During a performance at the New York City night club, The Tunnel, Puff Daddy aka Sean Combs lost an $80,000 Rolex watch, "and it didn't bother him at all as long as we killed the show," and in this moment Jadakiss knew that "this was Hip-Hop."
