But most of all it’s giving Victoria Monét

While the Dave Meyers-directed visual has hints of Britney Spears, and Janet Jackson, some Missy Elliott vibes, and a major homage to Michael Jackson, most of all it’s giving Victoria Monét.

The visual features killer choreography from Sean Bankhead, sickening special effects, and lots of to-die-for looks — including a shiny zoot suit and matching fedora, a barely there one-leg crochet catsuit, and more.

As the follow-up to her 2023 breakout Platinum hit “On My Mama,” and it’s highly raved-about music video, Victoria knew she had to come correct on this next one, and she most certainly did.

“‘Alright’ is about liberation and freedom at its core!" Monét said of the video in a statement. "This video is a visual presentation of that sentiment through freedom of movement and fluidity between masculine and feminine energy.”

Continuing to praise "the crazy combo" of Meyers and Bankhead and it’s results, Victoria added,"EVERY single person who had their hands on this visual was extremely passionate from inception, and we all worked really hard to bring it to life! They showed up with their A game surpassing what we all imagined. Serious teamwork! We all patiently and meticulously crafted it and are extremely excited to release it into the world!”

To conclude, Monét expressed, “There’s no better month to release this visual than pride month, black music month and the beginning of summer 24! I can’t wait to see where dance artists and the ballroom culture take it.”
