Concerns for public health are growing because of the coronavirus.
On Wednesday, DC Health released an advisory suggesting that large events -- with 1,000 or more people -- be cancelled or postponed through March 31.
Mayor Muriel Bowser, shared the information from her Twitter account.
The advisory applies to conferences, conventions and any social or cultural events.
