One of the highlights for this year's Juneteenth holiday is the rescheduled 37th Annual Kingdom Day Parade which will be held in person on the federal day of observation, Monday, June 20, 2022, at 10 am. It's the largest and longest-running Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration. Dr. Adrian Dove, Chairman of the Kingdom Day Parade, and CORE-CA checked in with the morning show to talk about what to expect.

The Kingdom Day Parade passionately honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and has grown from its humble beginnings into the largest and longest-running Birthday Celebration of Dr. King, Jr. in the nation. This year, 2022 would have been Dr. King’s 93rd birthday. Although he never reached the age of 40, his legacy will live forever. This year’s theme is “Healing America”, which embodies all that Dr. King stood for.

The three 3-Mile parade route begins @ 10:00 AM at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd & Western Avenue, proceeds west to Crenshaw Blvd. and then South thereupon to Vernon Ave. where it disbands.

The parade will be broadcasted on ABC-7 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
