Two people were critically injured after a small plane crashed onto a soccer field in Wilmington on Monday.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to 401 W Westmont Drive at 12:53 p.m.
“The pilot was still in the plane upon LAFD arrival and extricated,” Margaret Stewart of the LAFD said.
Stewart said the pilot and the other person onboard were taken to the hospital in “at least critical condition.”
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
