ABC7 reported the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that a suspect was taken into custody, but would not say anything else.
On May 4th, around 4:43 a.m., a white Jeep Cherokee going south on Vista Del Mar Avenue crossed over and hit a blue BMW, according to the LAPD. Police say the driver of the Jeep got out of the car and ran away.
Oscar Sandoval, the driver of the BMW, told KTLA his brother, Osvaldo, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his son, Roger, died at the hospital. His sister, Andrea, is still on life support.
A GoFundMe has been created to help pay for funeral expenses.
