
SANTA ANA, Calif. (KNX) – The person who drove their car onto a sidewalk near a Santa Ana elementary school and struck three kids was escorted off campus for trespassing prior to the collision, police said.

It happened near Taft Elementary School, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
All three children were sent to the hospital where officials say they are in stable condition.
Officials said during a search of the suspect’s car, “a suspicious incendiary device” was found. The Orange County Bomb Squad was then called to investigate and they found three more incendiary devices inside the car.
The suspect’s identity has not been revealed at this time.
Santa Ana Police Department is working with the Santa Ana Unified School District’s officers as well as the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
