LAPD Chief Michel Moore released after being hospitalized "for testing and observation"

LAPD Chief Michel Moore is out of the hospital after being hospitalized.

The LAPD released a statement Tuesday afternoon writing "Chief Moore has been released from the hospital and appreciates the expressions of support that he has received. The Chief asked that we continue to keep our Department personnel still hospitalized in our thoughts and prayers."

He had been admitted to the LA County-USC Medical Center Monday night.

He was admitted for "testing and observation." The LAPD said the Chief was not feeling well and took himself to the hospital.

According to an LA Times story "Chief Moore is in great spirits and appreciates your well-wishes and support,” said Capt. Stacy Spell, an LAPD spokesman, in a statement. “To respect his privacy, the Department will not be commenting further."

LAPD said on Twitter this morning "On March 1, 2021, Chief Moore was not feeling well and transported himself to the University of Southern California Medical Center. He was admitted last night for testing and observation. Chief Moore is in great spirits and appreciates your well-wishes and support. To respect his privacy, the Department will not be commenting further."
