Los Angeles Police Department detectives are requesting the public's help in identifying a hit-and-run suspect who collided with a bicylist who was left in critical condition.
The accident occurred on May 10, around 6:55 p.m., when a maroon Kia Optima with black rims was traveling eastbound on Florence Avenue, the cyclist was crossing westbound on Flower Street. The Kia made a right turn from the number two lane of Florence Avenue and hit the cyclist, causing them to fly off the bike.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and identify themselves or render aid as required by law, and then fled the scene speeding southbound on Flower Street.
The cyclist was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
