Like countless others, Ed Massey, Sculptor, Painter and Creator & Co-founder of Portraits of Hope has lost everything in the Palisades fire. He remains realistic but at the same time optimistic for the future because as he says the only choice (for him at least) from here is to move forward. You've seen his art throughout LA for years from the floating spheres at MacArthur Park to the lifeguard towers from Santa Monica to Malibu to the LA Convention Center mural stretching four football fields where the 10 and 110 freeways merge plus several other installations world wide.
He talks about loss, the future, hope and community and about
his next public art project that will center around this devastating
experience. His goal is to bring people that have been bonded together by this unfathomable loss to work on a common goal and start healing.
