It's back and better than ever LES MISERABLES!!!! Hooray, that's what audiences are saying and boy are they responding to lead Nick Cartell who plays Jean Valjean or Prisoner 24601 at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. I was fortunate enough to get some time to catch up with Nick and hear about the show, his life as a dad, touring, what he hopes audiences will take away from this iconic production and how he approaches the role with new eyes depending on where he is in his life. He is as charming as you would imagine but his talent is what has people clamouring in their seats literally. When I saw the show opening night the lights dimmed and BEFORE the curtain went up the audience was on their feet, roaring with a collective excitement like I can't remember and then you remember why. The story, music, voices, performances all combine like a good recipe with the end result that is perfection. If you get the chance to see this I strongly urge you to.
It's a story of redemption, unrequited love and perseverance ...to touch on just a few of the themes.
