A man was fatally shot Monday in downtown Los Angeles, and an investigation was underway.
The shooting was reported just before 3 a.m. on Los Angeles Street at Winston Street, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller.

The wounded man, in his 40s, died at the scene, police said. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
Two male suspects were being sought, police said. A motive for the killing was not known. Anyone with information on the crime was urged to call 877-LAPD-247.
