More vaccination sites in LA County are accepting walk-ins.
No appointments needed through Monday at any of the county-run mass vaccination sites.
That includes the Forum, Cal State Northridge, College of the Canyons and the Pomona Fairplex. Shots available while supplies last. Sixteen and 17-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer was asked earlier this week if she thinks everyone who really wanted to get vaccinated has been jabbed and only the hesitant are left.
"I'm not sure that that's where we are in LA County. We have thousands and thousands of appointments every day that are filled for the most part. But we are hearing from some of our partners that it is a little harder and that it is taking longer," she says.
Eligibility was expanded a week ago to everyone 16 and older who lives or works in LA County. Officials had warned appointments might be hard to come by for a while after restrictions were dropped. But there are plenty of openings.
It's estimated there are more than 8.3 million people in the county who are eligible for vaccination.
