PepsiCo Inc. and Starbucks are recalling a popular Starbucks drink after it was revealed it may cause health hazards.

More than 250,000 cases of Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso drinks have been taken off shelves due to an issue in packaging where the cans were inadequately sealed, Food Safety Network reported in early March.
The recalled products include Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso, Espresso & Cream with the UPC 012000001772, the Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso, Espresso & Light Cream with the UPC 012000008801 and Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso, Espresso & Salted Caramel Cream with the UPC 012000007293. All three recalled drinks are sold in 6.5 fluid ounce cans.
The recall was originally issued in late November, but has resurfaced as the beverages are nearing their March 28 best-by expiration date.
Energy drink fanatics are urged to check their cans and throw away any impacted drink. The cans are half green and half brown and rep the Starbucks logo above the product name.
The inadequate sealing of the cans may lead to premature spoilage which can cause illnesses if consumed, FSNS said.
Consumers may also return the drinks to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
