WATCH: Reseda mother suspected of killing her 3 children gives jailhouse interview

Liliana Carrillo in currently in jail. She is the “prime suspect’ in the murder of her three children in Reseda.

Thursday, Carrillo spoke with KGET-17 from the Lerdo pre-trial facility.

Carrillo admitted to killing her children, adding that she believed their father, Erik Denton, was involved in human trafficking.

Carrillo and Denton, were involved in a bitter custody dispute.

The coroner identified the children as 3-year-old Joanna, her 2-year-old brother, Terry, and 6-month-old sister, Sierra

Carrillo says she was afraid for the afraid for the children’s safety.

Denton had petitioned the court for custody March 1, alleging their mother, Carrillo, was delusional and had taken the kids and refused to tell him where they were.

The children’s grandmother found the children at an apartment in Reseda.

Kern County prosecutors claim that Carrillo drove through Kern County where she allegedly carjacked one person. She was later arrested in Tulare County.

Carrillo has not been formally charged in the murders of her three children in Los Angeles County.
