Naya Rivera's father took to Twitter this week to allegedly call out Ryan Murphy and others on a supposed college fund for the actress' son.
Then it seems as though her dad backtracks his comments a day later on Twitter. Murphy is known for his work with "Glee" and "American Horror Story."
Last summer, the "Glee" actress went missing at Lake Piru while she was with her son. She was able to get her son, Josey, back on the boat before disappearing in the water. In July, Ventura County Sheriff's officials confirmed the body found in Lake Piru was that of missing actress saying in a press release "The cause of death is drowning and the matter of death is accident."
Ventura County is now facing a wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of the son.
On Tuesday night, George Rivera tweeted "When you are part of the Hollywood elite, some people treat others as they are “less than” .... vocalize a good game , but it’s as shallow as the sets on stage , that they create. Promises made in public, only to fade with time and excuses .... even in a unexplainable tragedy ..." and went on to tweet "Everyone needs to know what Ryan Murphy really did ... or didn’t do !!! I’m about to blow up this story .... and make sure he’s knows that I know ...."
However, Murphy responded on Twitter Tuesday saying that he, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan have committed to create a college fund for Josey through the Naya Rivera Estate Trust.
"We have been in repeated conversations with the appropriate executors of her estate," he tweeted.
Then, seemingly backtracking, on Wednesday her father tweeted: "Guys, we appreciate all the love for Naya, I feel your sincerity and devotion and I miss her everyday. 2 things, pls leave @MrRPMurphy alone about his actions or non actions.. that’s for him to solve. 2nd, DO NOT DONATE to any cause w/ Nayas name unless Rivera Family endorses.."
