Tami Heide Interviews Cheech Marin

Tami Heide has a California conversation with Cheech Marin (one half of the Cheech and Chong comedy team) about the one year anniversary of “The Cheech”, The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture at the R.A.M., Riverside Art Museum. Cheech has been collecting Chicano art for 40+ years, and the Cheech houses his collection, which is possibly the first and largest permanent collection of Mexican American art. To celebrate, there is a fundraiser concert at the Municipal Riverside Auditorium on Saturday 6/17, and a free community event, Pura Pachanga, in the plaza at the Cheech Sunday 6/18.
