VALLEY VILLAGE (CNS) - Three people were injured today -- including a young child, possibly an infant, who was reported in grave condition -- in a three-vehicle crash on the westbound Ventura (101) Freeway in the Valley Village area, authorities said.
Firefighters were sent to the freeway at Tujunga Avenue about 1:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, which said one person was extricated from the wreckage.
The LAFD said one of the three people rushed to the hospital was a young child in "grave" condition. The age and gender of the child were not immediately known.
The two other patients were a man who was listed in fair condition and a woman in serious condition.
No further information was immediately available.
