LOS ANGELES (KNX) — The victim of an armed robbery in the Hollywood Hills is offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the arrest of the four suspects who bound him with zip ties before making off with his belongings early Wednesday morning.
Anthony Farrer, who owns a watch business called "Time Piece Gentleman," said he was asleep when the intruders got into his multi-million dollar rental home on Carman Crest Drive through an unlocked door. In an interview with CBS 2, the business owner said he was held at gunpoint and the thieves made off with a laptop and $30,000 worth of jewelry and cash.

"Being in this business, I've heard this story a million times, it was just the first time I ever really lived it," Farrer told CBS 2, explaining that the intruders clearly knew what they were looking for. "They put a gun in my face and said, 'Where's the briefcase?’”
Farrer said he and three friends arrived in L.A. about a week ago, and the robbers likely saw their posts about the trip and photos of their rental home — which is likely how they knew what valuables to look for.
He said his rationale for offering a large reward for information leading to the arrest of the robbers is that those four suspects should be off the streets, so they’re no longer able to get into someone’s home and put a gun in their face.
Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department said they are looking through neighborhood surveillance footage for further clues about the suspects. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the LAPD.
