Straight out of Westfield State to 94.7 WMAS, I started popping up all over Western Mass as Dina McMahon in the Van (yup, people still call me that). I eventually turned in the keys to the prize van for a spinning chair and a microphone inside the studio.
I grew up in the Springfield area, and I’m grateful I got to relive my childhood all over again through my two awesome kids, along with my wonderful husband and my velcro dog.
I love all things Halloween, I’m a thrifting enthusiast, I crave time for a good book (with actual paper pages), but the most important thing to know about me is that I’ve had a secret passion (okay, so maybe it’s a very public passion) for shoes since I was a little kid. When I was a toddler, I would wake up in the middle of the night and demand a new dress, new shoes, and a new “pockey-book.” I wouldn’t go back to sleep until they got me all dressed up. To this day, I really am such a diva; if I could walk around in a ballgown, paired perfectly with one of the 400+ pairs of shoes I’ve collected over the decades, I’d be living my best princess life. All I need now is the castle (I already have the tiaras)…

The number one question people ask me about my job is, “How do you get up so early?” Shockingly, I am not a morning person. Besides multiple alarms... knowing that every day I get to come in and do something I love, connect with our longtime listeners and meet new ones, plus help out in the community, makes it easier and so worth it.
