One huge cameo for "Deadpool & Wolverine" that didn't happen… Apparently, a scene was written for Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man/Tony Stark, along with his assistant, Happy Hogan (payed by Jon Favreau), for the film's opening. The Paris Olympics closing ceremony featured H.E.R. rocking The Star Spangled Banner as Tom Cruise came rappelling in from the top of the French stadium. With the 2028 Summer Olympics being hosted by Los Angeles, Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass handed to Olympic flag to Simone Biles, and Tom Cruise greeted them both and hopped on a motorcycle and took off. Then it was the recorded video that showed Tom ride into a plane and then parachute out in California. From there, he handed the flag off to Olympic cyclist Kate Courtney, where it ended up at the Red Hot Chili Peppers performance in LA. Finally, the double "o's" in the Hollywood sign was revealed to include the Olympic symbol. So when all is said and done, the Paris Olympics will be fondly looked back upon as that place where Tom Cruise jumped off a building.
