Do you think the teachers let her make up work when she had to take off for music awards?

Steven Spielberg's "West Side Story" might be a hit with critics and could even win awards, but it bombed at the box office. It cost about $100 million to make and only brought in about $10 million over opening weekend.  Some suspect it had something to do with one of the stars, Ansel Elgort, because of allegations of sexual misconduct against him. Even if that was true, it seems like a big hit for the film over a guy who has been accused and not tried. Steven Spielberg was criticized for Ansel's casting, but the thing is, Ansel was accused after the filming had wrapped, according to TMZ.

SPOILER ALERT for "And Just Like That..."  Extra talked with creator Michael Patrick King to find out why they chose to do what they did with Mr. Big, played by Chris Noth. Michael said, "It was a story decision. It was really about creating something that was bold that would shift the landscape for Carrie Bradshaw, and also I wanted to explore the idea: is it better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all?" He added, "We want to give her a proper healing, a proper journey" before teasing, "There will be many obstacles along the way for Carrie to find love again," also hinting at the possibility of a season two. In the meantime, Ryan Reynolds narrated a new spoof ad for Peleton as part of the company's direct response to what went down with Mr. Big in the first episode.  See it at tmz.com.

To promote the release of "The Matrix Resurrections," Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss sat down with The Verge for an interview. Keanu was asked about his opinion on NFTs and items that can't be copied, to which Keanu added, "But can be easily reproduced?" He makes a valid point. Even though NFTs are digital property, you can simply take a screenshot or right-click on the image to save it. Anyway, his comment isn't the point of this story. His laugh is the goofiest thing you ever heard, but because it's Keanu, it's just the greatest. Check out the video at dlisted.com.

While her brother awaits sentencing on child pornography charges, one of his sisters, "19 Kids & Counting" star Jana Duggar, 31, has run into her own legal trouble. People magazine reports that Jana was charged on September 9th with endangering the welfare of a minor. No details about the incident were given, but Amy King, her cousin, implied on social media that Jana might have lost a kid in her care. She has pled not guilty to the misdemeanor and will appear in court next month. If convicted, Jana could be sentenced to 30 to 90 days in jail.

BTS was the big winner at the "Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)" on Saturday night, taking home the most trophies. The wins included artist of the year, album of the year, song of the year, and worldwide icon of the year. They won a total of eight awards. I think other people won some too.

"Selling Sunset" star Maya Vander heartbreakingly revealed she is mourning the loss of her son, Mason, after suffering a pregnancy loss at 38 weeks. She shared on Friday, "Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. I had a still birth at 38 weeks," adding, "I always heard of it but never imagined I'll be part of the statistics. Instead of delivering a baby, I get to go home with a memory box… I do not wish this on anyone."

Whether it's positive or negative, searches for artists were way up this year in comparison to 2020. Here are some of the musicians and bands with the top trending searches in 2021; Travis Scott, Adele, The Weeknd, Dr. Dre, Olivia Rodrigo, Marilyn Manson, Daft Punk, and Lil Nas X.

As far as 2021's top fashion influencer, that goes to – no, not Kim Kardashian - Adam Sandler. Adam was the top searched celebrity when it came to fashion, putting him in the top spot on Google's 2021 top "celebrity outfits" list. Style expert Robert Verdi gave an explanation to The Post as to why Adam would top the list; "In the wake of COVID we've all realized that materialism doesn't matter. He's representing what we all did during lockdown, which was staying in the same sweats for a week, not taking a shower every day and wearing old house shoes to walk the dog." He also said the public loves Adam's attire because it's "authentic."  Authentic is just a fancy fashion word for "personal sloppy style."

SPOILER ALERT MISS UNIVERSE WINNER... Miss India is the new Miss Universe. Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe 2021 last night. Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira and South Africa's Lalela Mswane were the runner ups. This year's pageant was the first time a delegate from the United Arab Emirates has ever competed. Interestingly, host Steve Harvey asked Miss India to do her best animal impersonation onstage (she did a cat meowing, in case you were wondering), while the other women were given the chance to talk about their accomplishments, and the internet wasn't having it. He also messed up when it was down to the final two, calling Miss Paraguay Miss Portugal instead. He blamed it on the cards. Isn't that what he did when he announced the wrong winner a few years back?

The internet is angry with Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos for not being more actively involved after at least six of his employees died after a tornado caused a 40-foot high, 11-inch thick wall to collapse at a warehouse.
Jeff finally posted something Saturday night, tweeting, "The news from Edwardsville is tragic. We're heartbroken over the loss of our teammates there, and our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones. All of Edwardsville should know that the Amazon team is committed to supporting them and will be by their side through this crisis. We extend our fullest gratitude to all the incredible first responders who have worked so tirelessly at the site." Well, not exactly "by their side" as Jeff was instead celebrating his trip into space with former NFL champion Michael Strahan, among others, with pics and big smiles. The tweet didn't come until a full 24 hours later. See more at tmz.com.

We have lost some celebrities right before the holidays….

Ye (formerly Kanye West) hit the stage in Los Angeles, where he begged his estranged wife Kim Kardashian to come back to me. Ye and Drake were performing in front of 70,000 Thursday night, and at the end of his song "Runaway,"  Ye sang "Run right back to me… More specifically, Kimberly." And Kim was actually in the audience, so she heard him. See the video at tmz.com. But, TMZ reports Kim filed documents asking for a judge to declare her single while they sort out custody and property issues. She's also ready to drop "West" from her legal name. This comes one day after he begged for her to return. Awkward.
