Maroon 5 has crossed two major milestones this week. Their 2019 hit "Memories" is officially part of the billion-views club on YouTube, and "Sugar" has just sailed past four billion views. Both songs peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, never quite hitting number one, but doing all right nonetheless.
Though it's since been deleted, Britney Spears posted a throwback pic on Instagram of her with songwriter Diane Warren and Ben Affleck from back in 1999, and she wrote, "Did I fail to mention I made out with Ben that night … I honestly forgot … damn that's crazy!!!" So how does that fit into both stars' dating timelines? It would seem it was just prior to Brit's romance with Justin Timberlake - and towards the end of Ben's on-and-off relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow.
Big news from Disney yesterday. "Zootopia 2" comes out in 2025, and "Toy Story 5" and "Frozen 3" will be released in 2026. But the real surprise is that "Moana 2" is coming out this year. Not to be confused with the upcoming live version, the animated "Moana 2" will officially hit theaters on November 27th, 2024.
And in more sequel news, the first trailer for the "A Quiet Place" prequel, "A Quiet Place: Day One," has been released. Newcomers to the "A Quiet Place" franchise include Lupita Nyong'o, Alex Wolff and Joseph Quinn, while "A Quiet Place Part II"" star Djimon Hounsou returns. The movie hits theaters June 28. In the meantime, a fourth film is in the works, and we could've also had a musical, if Chris Martin from Coldplay had his way. He joked in the past that he actually sent a video to Emily Blunt pitching the idea, showing his miming singing and piano playing, but he never heard back from her.
Is Kim Kardashian taking a page out of Taylor Swift's playbook? Sources say she is "getting serious" with Odell Beckham, Jr., but they're taking it slow. The source explained, "Odell's personality is much more private" than Kim's. On top of that, while he prefers to stay low-key, Kim is more accustomed to the limelight. Odell's team, the Baltimore Ravens, lost to Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs, so maybe Kim is keeping him at an arm's length before making sure she can't snag herself a big game winner, like Taylor.
