Justin Bieber certainly has a lot of money, and apparently he used some of it to buy an NFT of an ape. The singer shared a photo of his Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT, which he apparently purchased for $1.3 million, said to be 300 percent more than its valued market price. Justin posted a photo of the NFT to Instagram, alongside, with the lyrics to his song "Lonely," writing, "What if you had it all, but nobody to call, maybe then you'd know me. Cuz I've had everything but noones listening and that's just f***in lonely. #lonelyboredape." According Bitcoin.com, Justin spent 500 ethereum cryptocurrency, which translates to $1.29 mil. The actual value of the NFT as of Friday was only $208.37.

Jimin from BTS fame is recovering from emergency surgery and COVID-19. The K-pop star came down with appendicitis over the weekend and had to have surgery on Monday, according to Big Hit Music. Jimin had a mild sore throat and tested positive for the coronavirus while at the hospital. BHM said surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating and "making a speedy recovery" from COVID. They pointed out that he did not have any contact with his BTS bandmates. Last month, three members of the group - RM, Jin and Suga - tested positive for the virus but have since recovered.
Remember that gender reveal party Nick Cannon hosted with Bre Tiesi over the weekend? Well, he confirmed that the baby boy she's expecting is indeed his. The reason he didn't bring it up sooner is because he wasn't sure how to make the announcement so soon after the passing of his 5-month old with Alyssa Scott, Zen. While this will be Bre's first child, the new baby will Nick's eighth. Meanwhile, Alyssa shared an emotional post after Nick shared his news. She says that she's feeling centered and at peace as she continues to navigate her grief and thanked everyone for their supportive messages but added, "It is painful having my son be a part of conversations that aren't in alignment with his light and legacy. It isn't something I chose for him or myself."

Shaquille O'Neill saw a boy crying while standing by a checkout line and asked him what was wrong. The boy, Zion, explained that he got in trouble for not listening to his father while they were in the store. Zion wrote on Instagram, "Shaq said, go give your dad a hug and tell him you're sorry." Then Shaq asked what the boy got at the store, and he said a coat. That's when Shaq helped Zion pick out two pairs of shoes, and he paid for them, the coat, and a pair of socks the dad was set to pay for too. Zion posted, "I am beyond grateful & blessed. What a day? I'm still in shock and can't stop talking about this amazing moment."
Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are being sued by one of Nicki's former security guards. The guy was head of security for one of Nicki's concerts in Germany back in March 2019 and he claims Nicki's husband punched him because a male fan got past one of the security officers and up onstage during the show. The guy claimed he needed eight surgeries to fix his jaw, now has five plates in his face and will need six more operations to get it back to right, according to TMZ.
Billboard magazine has announced this year's honorees for their annual Women in Music Event. Doja Cat will be honored with this year's Powerhouse Award winner, Saweetie will receive this year's Game Changer Award, Summer Walker will be presented with this year's Chartbreaker Award winner, and Karol G, will be honored with the Rule Breaker Award. Other honorees include Gabby Barrett, this year's Rising Star Award, Phoebe Bridgers, 2022's Trailblazer Award winner, and Bonnie Raitt, who'll be honored with 2022 Icon Award. Billboard's 2022 Women in Music Awards, hosted by Ciara, will take place March 2nd.
Moses J. Moseley, famous for playing one of Michonne's zombies in "The Walking Dead," has died at just 31 years old. Police are looking at it as a possible suicide involving a gun. Moses starred on "The Walking Dead" from 2012-2015 as one of Michonne's zombies that followed her around.
Jay Ellis found out the hard way that people have a hard time separating actors from characters. The actor who's best known for playing Lawrence Walker on "Insecure," the longtime boyfriend of Issa Rae's character, shared a recent fan encounter that didn't go as well as he'd hoped. He tweeted, "Good morning to everyone except for the lady that slapped me in the face at the airport because she got mad at Lawrence for something he did in season [three]."
