Jimmy Kimmel hosted the Oscars this weekend. Best part was probably the skit with John Cena where he came out to present the award for Costume Design, and he was completely naked for it, highlighting the need for costumes. Before you go scurrying for the footage, he hid behind a big envelope while on stage. Speaking of costumes, Emma Stone had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction when her zipper split. The blame seems to fall on her former "La La Land" co-star, Ryan Gosling. Apparently, when he was singing, "I'm Just Ken," he got Emma involved and, as her "Poor Things" co-star Mark Ruffalo told Extra, "I think it was dancing... she was laughing so hard. I think she burst her zipper."
As far as the winners go, "Oppenheimer" was the big winner of the night, taking home seven awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor. It gave Robert Downey Jr. and Christopher Nolan their first ever Oscars as well. "Poor Things" followed with four awards, including Emma Stone taking home the prize for Best Actress. And Billie Eilish couldn't stop laughing after winning an Oscar for "What Was I Made For?" She won for best original song, making her the youngest person to win two Oscars.
Even better and more interesting than the Oscars are the Razzies, celebrating Hollywood's worst movies of 2023. "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" took home 100% of the awards it was nominated for, including "Worst Film," "Worst Director" and "Worst Screenplay." The movie also got "Worst Screen Couple" and "Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel." Sylvester Stallone solidified his status as the Razzie's "Awl Time Razzie Cham-Peen" with another win for "Worst Supporting Actor" in "Expend4bles." Meanwhile, Megan Fox took home two Raspberries as "Worst Actress" in "Johnny & Clyde" and "Worst Supporting Actress" for "Expend4bles." Here are all the "winners," according to Hollywood Reporter;
Worst Picture - "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey"
Worst Actor - Jon Voight, "Mercy"
Worst Actress - Megan Fox, "Johnny & Clyde"
Worst Supporting Actress - Megan Fox, "Expend4bles"
Worst Supporting Actor- Sylvester Stallone, "Expend4bles"
Worst Screen Couple- "Pooh & Piglet," "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey"
Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel- "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey"
Worst Director- Rhys Frake-Waterfield, "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey"
Worst Screenplay- "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey"
And the rare "Razzie Redeemer Award" was given to "The Nanny" star and SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher "for her brilliant shepherding of the actors' guild through a prolonged 2023 strike, with a highly successful conclusion."
Natalie Portman and her husband of 11 years have officially divorced. She and director/choreographer Benjamin Millepied met while filming "Black Swan," got married in 2012, and went on to have two children, a 12-year-old son and a seven-year-old daughter. Rumors about him cheating on her lit the fire for divorce, but Natalie denied it to Vanity Fair.
"High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens confirmed she is indeed pregnant after appearing on the red carpet last night with a baby bump.
The actress is married to pro baseball player Cole Tucker and this will be their first child together. Interestingly, the news comes more than a few days after Vanessa slammed speculation that she was pregnant as "disrespectful," according to Variety.
In more baby news, "Pitch Perfect" star Adam Devine and wife Chloe Bridges are first-time parents. He announced the arrival of their first child together on Instagram, Beau Devine, on February 16.
Madonna is getting slammed over a clip from a show in Vancouver last month where she called out a fan in the front row for not standing during the show, only to learn the fan was wheelchair-bound. Between songs, Madonna saw the fan sitting and said, "What are ya doing sitting down?" She then realized her mistake and said, "Oh, ok ... politically incorrect. Sorry about that. I'm glad you're here." Fans were on her for how "nonchalant" and "weak" Madonna's response to her mistake was.
Kate Middleton shared a photo of her with her kids in celebration of Mother's Day in the UK, but four major news agencies wouldn't release it because they suspected the photo of being manipulated. There's note of some hands in the photo being blurry as one example. AP had published it initially but then took it down amid the controversy. In a post on social media, Kate came clean and said that "like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused." The palace said the photo was taken by Prince William. So who's really to blame – mom for photoshopping or dad for taking a bad picture in the first place? If Kate Middleton's photoshopping skills is this is the biggest problem facing England right now, then you gotta admit, that country's doing okay overall…
