On top of that, he was one of the first ones to Halyna to try to help her as she laid there bleeding. A man who said he and his uncle were hired by Astroworld admitted not only did they not have to undergo a background check, but that he only had limited security experience as a bank guard. He also said the Astroworld job paid $17 per hour and the money was supposed to be paid through an app. Neither of them have been paid. His uncle ended up with a broken hand trying to manage the rushing crowd, according to radar. In the meantime, an EMT at the event said he asked for help many times, but it was so loud, the radio messages weren't getting through. He said as he and his partner were trying to help someone, he noticed "three different EMT personnel performing CPR on unconscious patients." He explained there was "zero crowd etiquette" as they were trying to help others and that there were "150 [medical] personnel responsible for 50,000 highly irresponsible people."

He says that they're upset with him because he tells them, "We ain't rich. I'm rich." For the record, his estimated net worth is $400 million. The way Shaq sees it, his kids have to get their education. He explained, "I would like a doctor, somebody to own a hedge fund, a pharmacist, a lawyer, someone that owns multiple businesses, someone to take over my business. But I tell them I'm not going to hand it to you. You gotta earn it."

"Dancing with the Stars" may be losing one of its pros. Following his recent elimination Val Chmerkovskiy, said he "probably" won't be coming back for another season. He told Entertainment Tonight, "I've always been very clear about coming back on the show. I love the show. I love being on it. I am so grateful for the opportunity. Is this my last season? Probably." After ten years on the show as a pro dancer, Val said of his most recent partner, Olivia Jade Giannulli, "I have no regrets about the season. I couldn't have asked for a better partner to end it with. There's no burned bridges, there's nothing but gratitude, again, with the production, with the show. I hope I've served the show and this show has definitely changed my life, so it's [mutual] love and we'll see what happens in the future." There were rumors that maybe Val and Olivia had taken their chemistry off-stage as well, but he is happily married to fellow DWTS pro Jenna Johnson, according to OK!
The story of someone stabbing people with a needle at Travis Scott's Astroworld concert turned out to be not true. Right after the tragedy, the Houston Police Chief did say a security guard was injected, but once the security guard in question came forward, he himself told police he was never stabbed. The guard was hit in the head, which left him unconscious. According to the chief, "He woke up in the security tent. He says that no one injected drugs in him."

Meghan Markle is responding to claims she purposefully wrote her private letter to her estranged father Thomas Markle in a way that would "pull at the heartstrings" if it was leaked. Meghan has said the letter wasn't meant for anyone else's eyes, but Mail on Sunday has correspondences between Meghan and her then-communications secretary Jason Knauf they claim prove otherwise. Jason alleged that Meghan asked him to review the letter, with "the understanding that it could be leaked," and that she even asked him whether she should address Thomas as "Daddy"... allegedly arguing that "it would pull at the heartstrings in the unfortunate event that it leaked." But, in a statement, Meghan insists she didn't think Thomas would "sell or leak the letter," since it wouldn't exactly "put him in a good light."
Mark Zuckerberg changed Facebook's identity to Meta, but someone else is already on the way to securing the "Meta" trademark. Back in August, the founders of a company called Meta PC filed to trademark the word "Meta" for computers, laptops, tablets, software and more items relating to tech. The founders, Joe Darger and Zack Shutt, tell TMZ they've been operating Meta PC for a little over a year, but recently filed docs to formally trademark their brand. While Meta PC's trademark petition hasn't been granted yet, they have a better chance over Mark. Joe and Zack have said they're willing to withdraw their trademark request for $20 million. Sounds like a lot, but they say it would cost them a lot to rebrand. In the meantime, Meta PC has already seen a 5,000% increase in followers across their social media ever since Facebook released the news. But these guys might not want to celebrate just yet - a source close to discussions tells TMZ that Meta (Facebook) believes they have the rights to the "Meta" trademark over Meta PC. I don't know why they believe that, but I don't think "just because" or "because I said so" flies with the court.
