Matthew Perry was laid to rest on Friday in a ceremony at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. The funeral was attended by his family as well as the cast of "Friends," including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow. The funeral was reportedly a small gathering, with about 20 people attending. Before his death, Matthew Perry was working to start a foundation to help those struggling with substance abuse. Last Friday, a press release went out announcing the launch of the Matthew Perry Foundation. It said "In the spirit of Matthew Perry's enduring commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction, we embark on a journey to honor his legacy by establishing the Matthew Perry Foundation, guided by his own words and experiences, and driven by his passion for making a difference in as many lives as possible."

The 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards announced its winners, celebrating top musicians including Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Billie Eilish, among others. A ceremony was set to take place in Paris but was canceled due to the Israel-Hamas conflict. Taylor got three awards, including Best Video, Best Artist, and Best Live, while Nicki Minaj won Best Hip Hop Artist and Best U.S. Act. BTS member Jung Kook grabbed two awards for Best Song with his collaboration "Seven" and Best K-Pop Artist.
