The Eagles held a virtual team meating on Monday, and in it, it seems receiver DeSean Jackson made quite an impression on his teammates when he spoke about the death of George Floyd and the responsibility of those with a platform to speak up.

Although he did not mention Jackson specifically, kicker Jake Elliott was also inspiried by the team meeting, posting this message on Twitter:
As I sat in our virtual team meeting this morning and listened to some of my black teammates share their thoughts and experiences related to what is going on, I am truly heartbroken. Devastated for my brothers and everyone directly effected by racism in America. IT IS A PROBLEM

With both Malcolm Jenkins and Jason Peters no longer on the team, there has been some question about who will step up into leadership roles this season for the Eagles as they transition from a veteran-heavy team to a younger group.
Seeing veteran players like Jackson, as well as Carson Wentz, Zach Ertz and Rodney McLeod, lead the charge this offseason has to be an encouraging sign for the team.
