Phillies baseball returns to 94WIP

For the first time since early March, Phillies baseball is back on SportsRadio 94WIP.

Scott Franzke and Kevin Frandsen get started on Sunday, July 19 when the Phillies take on the Baltimore Orioles from Citizens Bank Park at 6:05 P.M. The duo returns to 94WIP airwaves to broadcast the Phillies last Summer Camp game against the New York Yankees on Monday, July 20 at 6:05 P.M.

Franzke will be joined alongside Kevin Frandsen and Larry Andersen throughout the season, which starts on July 24 against the Marlins. 94WIP's Phillies pregame show, Leading Off, will begin an hour before each game followed by First Pitch.

On Wednesday morning, Angelo Cataldi and the Morning Team welcomed on Phillies Executive VP David Buck, who spoke about the upcoming season.

"For everyone, it's been an unbelievable three or four months. There were times I wasn't sure we were going to get here, but about two or three weeks ago I thought this is going to happen. It's going to be weird, it's going to be different, but we are all getting really excited."

The team has played several inter squad games in an empty Citizens Bank Park to prepare for the season. Phillies TV announcer Tom McCarthy joined Jon Marks & Ike Reese on Thursday afternoon to talk about calling those games without fans:

"It's so different this year that as long as we have games, I don't really care about everything else around it."

The Phillies have one more inter squad game on Thursday evening before traveling to Washington to take on the Nationals.
