Knee-jerk reactions: Sixers finally beat the Celtics

The Sixers finally have a win over the Boston Celtics following their 118-115 win on Wednesday night.

The victory was the sixth in a row for the Sixers, who are feeling great and all but locked themselves into the three seed.

Here are some quick thoughts from the massive win:

**  Joel Embiid has been dominant and continued to dominate, turning in one of his best games in a Sixers' uniform in the win. Embiid had absolute monster performance on both ends of the court, finishing with 37 points, 21 rebounds, and four assists.  He was a ridiculous 20-21 from the foul line and got a HUGE block on Kyrie with 25 seconds to go that helped lock up the win.

** Jimmy Butler came alive late, hitting back to back threes with under 6 minutes in the 4th to tie the game at 105. Then, he hit the game sealer, a baseline jumper with 4.7 seconds to go. I'm all in on Jimmy!

** Brett coached it like a playoff game, keeping rotations short and letting the starters get extra run. A GREAT job and an outstanding win for Brett Brown I don't care what you say.

** Marcus Morris continues to give Ben Simmons fits. Morris' physicality has always given Simmons problems and now it seems Simmons knows it. But when it mattered most, with 40 seconds left in a tie game, Simmons got past Morris, finished, got fouled and made the foul shot to put Philly up 3, and for good. Simmons finished with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.  ** Tobias Harris looked locker in from warmups and he was. Harris had 12 first quarter points, but then quieted down. He didn't make a basket in the second or third quarter, but he also came alive in the fourth. Harris finished with 21 points. ** Boston shot 55% from the field in the first half en route to a 69 point half. Terry Rozier was lethal making four out of his five three pointers. In the second half, the ball didn't bounce their way as much. They finished the game just 12/31 from three. Rozier was 0-3 from deep in the second half and Irving shot just 12-29 from the field. ** The Marcus Smart ejection certainly pumped new life into the Sixers and changed the complexion of the game. ** This was probably the worst officiated Sixers game of the season. The refs lost control early and never got it back. ** Could this be the passing of the torch? After finally getting a win over the Celtics, and the playoffs around the corner, it sure felt like it.
