After months of waiting, plenty of rumors, one press conference and a few days of practice, new Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper is finally set to make his debut in a Phillies jersey.
Harper will be in the lineup on Saturday for the Phillies game against the Toronto Blue Jays, his first at-bats with his new team. Harper is expected to only bat as the team's designated hitter and not play the field.
Harper's walk-up song: Harper came to the plater for the first time as a Phillie with one on, one out and the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" theme song playing.

— Starting 9 (@Starting9) March 9, 2019Harper's 1st at bat: With everyone's eyes in the stadium on him, Harper showed great patience at the plate, walking in his first at bat on five pitches. It didn't take long for Harper to get back into the dugout, however, as Rhys Hoskins hit a home run on the second pitch of the following at bat, giving the Phillies a 2-0 lead.

— NBC Sports Philadelphia (@NBCSPhilly) March 9, 2019Harper's 2nd at bat: Last season Harper led the MLB in walks, and that was very much on display on Saturday, as Harper followed up his first walk of the day with another in his second plate appearance. Harper once again showed great plate discipline, walking on just five pitches. Harper was pulled after the walk, ending his day with two walks and one run scored.
One interesting note from Harper's second at-bat is that the Blue Jays implemented the shift on him, using 4 outfielders and three infielders on the right side, with nobody on the left side of the field.
