Wentz puts on show for Eagles' fans

The Eagles moved their training camp practices to Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night, practicing infront of a packed crowd that topped 30,000.

Quarterback Carson Wentz put on a show for them.

Here is a breakdown of everything you need to know from Sunday's practice:

Carson Wentz: Wentz had one of his best practices of training camp on Sunday, especially during the team's red zone session. With the ball on the 15-yard line, Wentz went 5/7 with four touchdowns, including a beauty of a pass right to receiver Charles Johnson in the back of the end zone. Wentz also found receiver DeSean Jackson along the goal line, with Jackson sprinting to the corner of the end zone to finish the play.

Wentz remained hot from there, finding receiver Alshon Jeffery twice on the next team session, including one completion that was about 20-yards down the field along the left sideline. He ended his practice with two-straight touchdown passes, one to receiver Alshon Jeffery and one to Zach Ertz, a bullet he fired to the tught end just across the goal line for the score.

On a day when the Eagles spent plenty of time working in the red zone, Wentz did exactly what the coaches wanted to see -- he got them in the end zone. Of the 16 plays the first-team offense spent in the red zone, Wentz and the offense got in for the touchdown on eight of them.

Stats: 17/29, 6 TDs, 0 INTs

Grade: A

DeSean Jackson: Jackson got a huge ovation as he came out to Lincoln Financial Field for the first time in an Eagles' uniform since 2013. He gave the fans the show they wanted. Jackson gave the Eagles' cornerbacks all they could handle in one-on-one drills, losing cornerback Sidney Jones so badly on one play he created about five-yards of separation. Jackson made another great play later on in the practice when he came down with a Wentz pass about 50-yards down the field. Jackson did a great job getting open, and although Wentz slightly underthrew him, Jackson came back to the ball and out jumped safety Rodney McLeod to make the catch.

Miles Sanders: Rookie running back Miles Sanders made one of the best plays of the night on offense during a red-zone drill late in practice. Sanders got the ball right up the middle, but when nothing was there, he bounced it to the outside and sprinted up the left sideline for the touchdown. The play had everything the Eagles want to see out of Sanders — great vision, great patience and the ability to turn nothing into something. Sanders had another very strong run later in practice when he burst through the middle of the line for about a 20-yard gain. Sanders looks completely different than the other running backs do with the ball in his hands. He could be a real weapon for the Eagles this season.

Alshon Jeffery: Jeffery did not have a great night of practice, as he twice dropped passes that hit him right in the hand. They weren't quite as bad as his drop in the playoffs against the New Orleans Saints, but they were both catches he should have made and has been making throughout camp. Jeffery made up for the two drops later in practice when he caught a touchdown from two-yards out from Wentz, out jumping Rasul Douglas for the catch.

Johnathan Cyprien: Cyprien has quickly moved up the depth chart, and is already taking second-team snaps on defense. He made one of the better defensive plays of the night on Sunday, ripping the ball out of running back Josh Adams' hands after a catch, causing the fumble. Cyprien is going to make this team as long as he is healthy and doesn't completely blow it. Creating turnovers, something the Eagles struggled to do last season, will not only help him make the team but could get him onto the field this season.

Josh Adams: Adams, Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement are all battling for one of the final two (or perhaps one) roster spots at running back. Of the three, it is pretty clear that Adams does the best job making defenders miss. Adams has routinely shaken off defenders during live-team sessions throughout training camp. Although the team wasn't tackling on Sunday night, Adams was still pretty elusive with the ball in his hands. Clement, on the other hand, didn't help his chances when he dropped a punt during a return.

Ostman and Gibson: The Eagles lost two players to injuries on Sunday night, with both defensive tackle Joe Ostman and receiver Shelton Gibson leaving practice early. The leg injury Ostman suffered seemed serious, as he had to be carted off and the entire team seemed concerned as he went into the locker room. Gibson's injury appeared to be to his ankle, as he couldn't put much pressure on it as he was helped off the field by trainers.
