To say things are fluid right now among the Eagles' roster and depth chart during training camp right now would be an understatement.
Just ask defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz.
"I mean, do we have a depth chart? If we have a depth chart, [Eagles public relations director Brett Strohsacker] made it because the league makes him have to or whatever," Schwartz said. "We have different groups that we run and you'll see different guys out there in those groups because facts of life, all those guys, if you're on the 53, you have to play."
Schwartz can try to blame Strohsacker, but the reality is that when the Eagles line up during practices at training camp, they do so in some semblance of a depth chart. The starters go up first, followed by the second time and so on. The depth chart can change — and it does frequently — but one week in camp a more concrete depth chart is slowly starting to take shape.
Here is a look at how the Eagles' depth chart appears to be so far, not including injured plays who have yet to do team drills — defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, defensive end Derek Barnett, linebacker Nigel Bradham, cornerback Jalen Mills, safety Rodney McLeod, cornerback Ronald Darby, wide receiver Mack Hollins, offensive guard Brandon Brooks, running back Corey Clement and cornerback Cre'von LeBlanc.

** Note ** The Eagles have been shuffling around their cornerbacks more than any other position. The one constant has been Douglas on the outside. Maddox started camp on the outside in base defense, and then going to inside when they went to nickel, with Jones coming in and taking his place on the outside. Recently, the base cornerbacks have been Jones and Douglas, with Maddox on the field in nickel. There is still plenty to be decided, however, when Darby and Mills return.
