Eli Manning might start vs. Eagles on Monday Night Football

The Eagles might be seeing Eli Manning one more time.

Speaking Wednesday at his weekely press conference, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said that Daniel Jones is questionable for Monday's game against the Eagles due to a high-ankle sprain, and that the rookie quarterback would not be able to play if the game was to be played today.

Jones was reportedly at practice in a boot and riding a stationary bike.

Manning has not played this season since being benched after Week 2. He has struggled throughout his career against the Eagles, going 10-20 while throwing more interceptions (34) than against any other team.

On one hand, getting Manning over Jones is good news for the Eagles. Manning hasn't played in months and wasn't playing well when he was benched -- or really for the prior few years before that. On the other hand, Manning making his return in prime time and getting one more start for the Giants feels like a situation that will result in him somehow pulling off a win.

The Eagles better make sure that does not happen, as a loss would drop them to 5-8, and ensure they won't finish with a winning record -- and deal perhaps the final blow to their chances of making the playoffs.
