Even with their disappointing loss to Seattle, the Eagles' season ended better than it started, winning four-straight to get into the playoffs and win the division.
Still, there is a good chance changes are coming, and they could start on the offensive side of the ball.
If they do, one national reporter thinks those changes could involve an up-and-coming member of the Dallas Cowboys staff.
In a recent article on MMQB, Albert Breer suggested that if the Cowboys and new head coach Mike McCarthy moves on from offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, the Eagles could have interest.
Breer writes:
If Moore were to leave, I would not be surprised to see a division rival—the Eagles—take an interest in him.
Since Moore is currently the offensive coordinator, the Eagles — if they did have interest —could only hire him if the Cowboys were to fire him. If they did, it isn't clear if Moore would deficiently get another opportunity right away as an offensive coordinator considering how the Cowboys season ended, so it is possible the Eagles could bring him on in another capacity.
But while anything is possible, it is hard to imagine the Eagles hiring Moore while also bringing back offensive coordinator Mike Groh and quarterbacks coach Press Taylor. Whether the Eagles should fire Groh or Taylor is certainly debatable, but Moore would almost certainly be coming in to take one of their jobs if the Eagles do indeed have interest.
There is going to be plenty of speculation this time of year, especially as coaching hires are made and staffs are switched around.
Chances are the Eagles, at some point, are going to be involved in those changes — and moves will be coming on their coaching staff.
