Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver DeSean Jackson is once again trying to make his way home to Philadelphia.
Jackson, according to an ESPN report, has once again requested a trade from the Buccaneers — something he did prior to the NFL trade deadline as well — and is reportedly eyeing Philadelphia as his destination.
Whether the Eagles will want to bring Jackson back remains to be seen. Jackson has a $10 million cap hit for 2019, but the team could easily work around that, assuming Jackson was willing to take a paycut. Considering how badly he apparently wants to come back to Philadelphia, chances are he will be willing to.
Despite being 32-years old, Jackson has not lost a step since being released by the Eagles prior to the 2014 season in a nasty breakup with the team. Jackson led the NFL in yards-per-catch last season, averaging 18.9 yards. He remains one of the best deep threats, if not the best deep threat, in the NFL and would fill a major need on the Eagles in a big way.
No deal between the Eagles and Buccaneers can be completed until the new league year on Wednesday.
