Foles' win over Bears one of the best of his career

After the music had died down, and the celebration was no longer at a fever pitch, Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham was asked to describe quarterback Nick Foles' performance.

"Greatness," Bradham said. "Greatness."

Bradham was talking specifically about Foles' unbeliavable win, a 16-15 thriller over the Chicago Bears, but the description felt like it was meant for Foles in general. If it was, the description certainly fits.

Foles' game-winning 60-yard touchdown drive against the No. 1 ranked defense was the 12th of his career and his third this season. It was't always pretty for Foles on Sunday, but in the second half, he rebounded to add yet another signature win to his resume.

In what could becoming a running feature, especially if the Eagles shock the world and beat New Orleans next Sunday, here is an updated look at the five best games of Nick Foles' career:

5. Eagles win NFC East over Cowboys: 17/26, 263 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

This game feels like a few lifetimes ago, but in 2013, Foles faced a similar position as he did in Week 17 this season — the playoffs on the line on the road. The stakes were a little different in 2013, as the NFC East title was on the line, but Foles went into Dallas and led the Eagles to a win over the Cowboys, throwing two touchdowns and not a single interception. Foles' win on the road against Dallas was one of the first signs in an Eagles' uniform of how clutch he can be.

4. 7-Touchdown Game: 22/28, 406 yards, 7 TDs, 0 INTs

This game (statistically) was one of the best ever played by a quarterback in the NFL, as Foles had more touchdowns than incompletions (six). The performance by Foles not only ended with his jersey being set to the Hall of Fame, but it also put him on the map that season as one of the best quarterbacks in the league (at least for that season). It wasn't a clutch game, or a signature win, but it is certainly one of the best he has ever played. The fact it isn't even discussed very much speaks to just how impressive Foles' resume is.

3. Eagles over Texans: 35/49, 471 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT

Considering the big stages Foles has stepped into and won, a regular-season game landing at No. 3 might seem high. It isn't. With the season on the line in Week 16, Foles stepped up and threw four touchdowns and over 400 yards against one of the best defenses in the NFL. Then, after his defense blew a 13-point lead, Foles led them on an 11-play, 72-yard drive that saw him complete two passes on 3rd-and-10 — including one pass that ended with him being drilled into the ground.

When Eagles fans look back at Foles' time in Philadelphia, this game will be one of the first they bring up -- especiallty if it ends up leading to another Super Bowl.

2. "Double Doink" win over Bears: 25/40, 266 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT

Legends are made in the playoffs, and although his stat line isn't anything to write home about, Sunday was the second-best playoff win of Foles' career. Foles going into Chicago as a six-point underdog and beating the Bears is impressive enough, considering the opponent, the stakes and the stage. The fact he did it with a game-winning drive, and a touchdown pass on fourth down with under a minute remaining, only adds to the drama and to Foles' legacy.

1. Super Bowl LII: 28/43, 373 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT

The first game fans will bring up will be, of course, the Super Bowl — and with good reason. It isn't just that Foles won the Super Bowl with the Eagles. He was the reason they won it. Foles went toe-to-toe with the best quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, and beat him in a shootout by making a number of really impressive throws. It is still hard to believe that happened, but it did, and it was arguably the best game any quarterback has ever played in an Eagles' uniform.

That could always change, however, as long as Foles continues to suit up for the Eagles.
