Ronald Darby out a month with hamstring injury

The injuries are continuing to pile up for the Eagles.

Speaking Monday to the media head coach Doug Pederson said he was waiting for more information on injured cornerback Ronald Darby, who left the team's loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday with a hamstring issue.

Well, according to an NFL Network Report, the information Pederson will be getting is not good, as Darby is expected to miss a few games and could be out as long as a month. That means not only will Darby not be suiting up on Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers, but he could also be out for almost all of the team's three-game road trip to Minnesota, Dallas and Buffalo.

Although Darby has been struggling, losing a starting cornerback is never a good thing. All offseason it looked like the Eagles were extremely deep at cornerback, but heading into Thursday night, they will be without three of their top six corners — Darby, Jalen Mills and Cre'von LeBlanc. Mills is on the PUP and not elligable to return until Week 8. LeBlanc is on injured reserve and also isn't available to come back onto the active roster until then.

With only three healthy cornerbacks on the roster, the Eagles will likely be making a roster move as soon as Tuesday to add another healthy corner to the roster. Free agent Orlando Scandrick or Craig James, who is on the practice squad, seem to be the logical options.

For Thursday night the Eagles will now likely go with Rasul Douglas and Sidney Jones on the outside, with Avonte Maddox in the slot.

Thursday night's game in Green Bay is pretty close to a must-win game, considering the team is 1-2 and desperately wants to avoid having to dig themselves out of a 1-3 hole.
