Brandon Graham's advice Bryce Harper

Brandon Graham could very well finish his career as a lifelong Eagle.

Philadelphia's 13th overall pick in 2010 signed a new three-year extension worth $40 million on Friday. However, one day prior, the Phillies stole the headlines by signing MLB star Bryce Harper to a 13-year deal worth $330 million.

Graham, 30, entering his 10th season in Philly, had some advice for the 26-year-old Harper.

"There's going to be a lot of ups and downs," Graham told 94WIP's Marks & Reese show on Monday. "You have a bad game, they mad at you. You have a good day, it's that love-hate that they talk about. That brotherly love, that's real.  Every time I have a bad game, somebody calling me out, making me better in a sense. It's all about how you think about some of the negativity that will come your way. And how I think about it is, 'Oh man I got another week to show these boys. I know I didn't have a good week this week, or whatever it is, on playing, but I know I got another opportunity. Don't worry about the ups and downs, just keep going. Keep on winning the day. Keep on seizing the day, that you have at practice, whatever it is, preparation. Be a good pro, because you know they don't like people that can't socialize with the fans. You've gotta be able to connect with the Eagles fans because they feel like they a part of this thing with you. You give them a little something, you ain't got to give them everything. I understand everybody ain't me as far as being nice and stuff like that. But if you show that you are a normal person just like everybody else that just got a job playing a great sport that got a skill, I mean man they'll love you forever."

Graham dealt with plenty of criticism from Philly fans after a slow start to his career thanks to a torn ACL in Week 14 of his rookie seasons. Fans quickly labeled BG a bust and Graham was initially sensitive to the negative reaction, often responding and blocking fans and media on social media.

Now, Graham is just over a year from making, arguably, the greatest play in franchise history—a game sealing strip sack on Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII. Graham will almost certainly be inducted into the Eagles Hall Of Fame when his career is over.
