Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown will be named the Australia national team basketball coach and coach the team in the 2020 Olympics, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski

Brown, 58, was the head coach of the Australia national team from 2009 to 2012, leading them to 2012 Olympic quartefinals in London, where they were eliminated by the United States. Brown was also an assistant coach with the Australia national team between 1995 and 2003. Brown coached 14 years in the Australian professional league before joining the San Antonio Spurs' organization as an assistant in 2002.

Brown will likely have Sixers' point guard and Australia native Ben Simmons on his 2020 Olympic roster. This is very cool for both families, as Brown coached Simmons' father David in Australia with the Melbourne Tigers from 1989-1993.
