"Like I said, are the schools good?" Harper said of Philadelphia on 94WIP on March 5th. "Are the hospitals good? Could I see my family growing up here? I mean, for me, when I have kids one day they can say they're from Philly. That means something to people and for me to be able to say that, that's what it's all about.

"I don't know, I haven't lived in Philly or anything like that, but the sense that I get is that it's like a big neighborhood. People really understand, they care. They care about their neighbor, they understand it."
The announcement comes after the Phillies' opening series sweep of the Braves, where Harper hit two home runs.
