Bob Nightengale reports that there are three teams remaining in the Bryce Harper sweepstakes, which should certainly end sometime this week—the Phillies, Giants, and Dodgers.

Of those teams, only the Phillies are willing to offer Harper a long-term contract and Nightengale told Ike Reese and Jon Marks on Monday's 94WIP Marks & Reese Show, that he doesn't believe Harper and his agent Scott Boras will settle for a short-term deal.

Many people believe that Harper does have a desire to play in Los Angeles, which is closer to his hometown of Las Vegas and fits his Hollywood personality. Nightengale doesn't think the Dodgers would go to $40 million per season, but they may offer something like three or four years at $35 million per season.
